I've been walking dogs in my neighborhood and for my family since I was about 12 years old. I'd go home and take my dogs for long walks in between class and sports when I was in high school, even going so far as taking an animal science academy class my senior year of high school where people would bring in their dogs to be groomed. I worked several dog-walking jobs to help stay active and keep working during college. For the last 6 months I worked at a local dogwalking company part-time while working my full-time job in Fairfax Virginia, until I moved to Roanoke about a week ago to start graduate school. I've got experience handling dogs of all kinds and sizes so I've gotten to be quite experienced with shifting my approach to handle each dog's needs and personalities. I'm also fairly strong and to this day have never encountered a dog I've been unable to lift up if necessary, nor have I lost my balance from a dog pulling me.
