Hello I’m Matt! I’m 25 years old and am in the army reserve and attending Sacramento State. Looking for a fun summertime job in my offtime and figured this gig would be awesome for me! When caring for these beloved pets I will make sure safety is the number one priority. They will always be monitored inside or out. Dogs will always be in a closed off space or on a leash when they are going for a walk. When introducing other dogs I know it can be a delicate process and I will always ease other pets into the picture as to make sure there are no conflicts. If we run into other dogs out in public on a walk or at a dog park I will keep this same approach. Most introductions will most likely occur out in the backyard at my house where I can control any situation if there is any kind of conflict. Any growling or aggressive behavior and I will make sure to keep those animals separated and possibly try to introduce them again at a later time. I will always feed the dogs separately as feeing can pose issues to civility for some of even the most well-trained dogs. If there are any medical issues like sickness or anxiety I will immediately notify the owner and monitor the dogs non-stop until the issue has been taken care of even if this means taking them in to the owner’s local vet. I can assure you that these pets will be in loving hands and will always be looked out for in a safe and loving environment. I’ve loved dogs since I was a little kid. Always loved dogs of all breeds and sizes. I’m very active and love to include dogs in my daily routines. I can walk or even run with the dogs and give them their fill of fun every day. I always make sure they are comfortable, loved, and well taken care of. I grew up with multiple dogs of my own and have babysat for my parents and other family members from a young age so I am no stranger to taking care of animals and love the opportunity!
