I lost my sweet, loving cat of 10 years in September 2023. I am at a crossroads in life right now where I am not ready to adopt another cat yet (I still miss my old cat dearly), but at the same time I feel like I have so much love I could give to cats that is going unused. I thought maybe pet sitting cats would be a good happy medium until I am ready to adopt again :) Aside from having my cat for 10 years, I grew up my entire life with cats in my household. Those same family members all have cats of their own now, which I interact with on regular basis whenever I visit family. I love all pets/animals, but cats hold a special place in my heart. I also love spending time with my friends and their dogs/puppies as well :)

I highly recommend booking Matt to watch your pet! I have seen how he loved and cared for his own cat and is observant and in tune with their needs. He is just as responsible when it comes to others’ pets and always gives them the love and affection they need even when they aren’t his. He is very attentive to detail and instructions and can be trusted with your furry friend!
Matt loves cats! I have seen the way he took care of his late cat Adi! He is drawn to my cats Bella & Prairie whenever he comes over! I would recommend him to anybody!

Matt is a responsible and devoted animal lover! He had a tremendous amount of love and care for his own cat Adi, as well as for other animals. Matt’s fondness of all animals is obvious as he is also super great with my dog, Guinness. She absolutely loves him and I would trust him with her any time.

Being a (recent) previous cat dad myself and growing up with cats, I have a lot of experience interacting with cats and making them feel comfortable and safe. I am offering services to stop by your house, where your cat naturally feels most comfortable and safe, and provide them with a gentle, loving experience that does not make them feel threatened or intimidated. I am very familiar with the signs that cats display that indicate how they are feeling and will respect those boundaries. I understand there are a lot of different cat personalities, and am willing to adjust my type of care based on their personality (play and spend time with more social cats, give scratches and cuddle with cats who are super affectionate, or simply feed/water, conduct litter box duties, etc., for kitties who would prefer to be left alone and have space).

What is your cat's personality like? Are they usually social/friendly when you have visitors stop by? Or are they more of keep to themselves and need their space? Do they like to play? If so, what are their favorite toys or play activities? Do they like being held, scratched, or petted? How many belly rubs will they tolerate/allow before they bite me (jk haha). If they don't like contact/interaction, are there other things I can to make them happy (leave a treat out for them, etc)?
A typical day
I understand there are a lot of different cat personalities, and am willing to adjust my type of care based on their personality. For social cats who like to play, I'll spend my time playing and interacting with them. For those who are super affectionate, I can spend my time holding them, giving them scratches, and cuddling them. For the cats who like to be left alone and need their space, I will respect that and not intrude on their wishes (while also taking suggestions from the owner on other things I can do that the cat would appreciate).

I work a normal Monday-Friday, 9-5pm shift. I am available to stop by before and/or after work to take care of and spend time with your cat(s).
