Pet care experience
I am currently a student in Chi (33 years old, changing career paths) I’m only in class for a max 3.5 hours a day, other than that I am home hanging out, doing some school work or cooking (culinary school grad). I’ve had a dog my entire life until moving here, I was responsible for my family dog starting at age 11 and have been taking care of a dog ever since. I plan on getting a dog in the near future but love them so much I think that dog sitting would fill my canine void at the moment, not here for the money at all, here for the love and animals. I currently House/dog sit for two families in the area whenever they leave town and am always excited when they do because I get to see my furry friends. Your dog will get daily walks, lots of love, most likely a treat or two (I’m a pushover, but can adhere to specific dieting needs). I am pretty flexible as far as drop off and pick up. I can’t wait to meet your pet and I assure you they will more than enjoy their stay with me while you are away.

Matt was so extremely awesome with our pup! He was friendly, courteous and honestly just a really nice guy to talk to. I know my dog had an awesome weekend and got more attention and care than I could have hoped for. Matt was great and I would highly recommend him!
Hesitant about sending a review because I don’t want him to get too busy. Girls and house were in great shape upon our return. There was even a pizza waiting for us upon our late arrival.
Matt is a wonderful dog parent as well as a reliable and trustworthy dog sitter! His compassion and love for all animals can be realized by the fact that he has an instant connection with every dog he meets!
Matt would make a great dog sitter/walker. He loves animals, especially dogs and would love to have one now but realizes that, with his schedule, he doesn’t have the time to be a responsible dog owner, to be able to give one the time and attention they deserve ... and it’s killing him. One day though, when his schedule is more stable, he will and he’ll be be a great dog dad.

I’d imagine much the same way that you would take care of your pet. Love play time, I have a fairly roomy one bedroom apartment. Lots of play time, walks, and of course Netflix and cuddle to wind down the day.

Honestly not too much. I do require your pet to be house broken. It’s understandable accidents happen, but for the most part I’d like for that not to happen, but it’s not the end of the world. Other than that, just if they have a tendency to chew anything or stuff like that so I can make sure to put it out of reach.
A typical day
Wake up, quick trip outside for the bathroom, feeding, another quick walk before I head off to school for a few hours. When I I’m home in the afternoon, lots of tug of war and playing. A couple trips outside through the rest of the day. Some down time (by the fireplace in winter), cuddles on the couch.
