Pet care experience
We are a couple of canine lovers who just moved to San Diego from Boston. Our own pup is a bundle of joy that we rescued from the Caribbean and at 23 lbs he’s a great playmate for all shapes and sizes. We also have a dog park right next to our apartment where your pup can stretch their legs and play fetch or chase around some new friends. I work from home and have two roommates so there will be direct supervision at all times. We always view dogs as part of the family so rest assured that your dog will be well cared for, well exercised and happy when you come back for them! We welcome the extra responsibility of puppies as well!

When we needed a last minute dog sitter in order to get away for the weekend, Matt happily agreed to watch our pup. He was flexible with drop-off, which allowed us to drop our dog off before leaving town early on a Friday. We ended up coming back a day early, due to poor mountain conditions, and I think our pup was a bit bummed to leave Matt's house. He rested the rest of the day, clearly pooped after a fun 24 hours with new friends. Matt, thank you so much for taking care of Scout! We will for sure be booking you in the future - it's a good feeling to know that we can escape on people-only adventures with Scout in good hands.
Matt is so great! My dog Nala has separation anxiety and needs a day-time sitter on a pretty regular basis. Matt's been so flexible and great with my anxious girl. She always comes home happy and exhausted from a fun time. Highly recommend.
Matt is awesome! He does such a great job taking care of our puppy and putting up with all her nonsense. He does a really great job continuing her training as well on working new stuff. His dog cashew is awesome with other dogs as well. Matt takes them on walks and to the dog park located right across the street. We have used Matt for daycare many times and will continue to! Kona loves him!
This was the first time I had to leave my dog with a rover and Matt was great about making me comfortable in advance that he’d take care of my baby. Loved getting picture updates and knowing she had a play mate, cashew, at their house. Will be using Matt again.

We do not have any breed preferences but we cannot host a dog with a history of aggression or chewing on furniture.
A typical day
The main daily exercise for our dog is across the street at the dog park in the field behind the Crown Pointe Elementary School. There are typically a dozen dogs all playing with each other or focused on tennis balls and frisbees. We also enjoy going to the Ocean Beach Dog Beach on a nice day.
