Hi! I’m Matias, and I am a Certified Veterinary Nurse! I graduated 2021 from Harcum College’s Veterinary Nursing program and I’ve been working in the veterinary field for over 3 years. I am very passionate about the quality of care I provide to my pets and my clients! I’ve experience working with a variety of species such as dogs, cats, exotics, horses, and many more! A lot of my experience comes from taking care of pediatric and senior pets since I have the means and education to administer medications, nurse and provide comfort to them. I can assure your pet will be happy, loved, and most importantly, safe under my care. I love caring for animals! I do it with passion, because their well-being is what matters the most.

Matias went over and beyond any sitter we have used. For the first time I didn't have to worry about the care provided. He sent updates and answered right away any time I checked in. He followed care instructions. Our cats were well cared for.
Matias is a wonderful dog sitter. He managed both of my high-energy dogs easily. He was sincerely concerned for their comfort. He provided pictures and insights into their behavior, which was extremely reassuring. Matias was flexible with his time and kept the dogs on their schedule, in their house. The dogs miss him already. I will be re-booking with him again!

Matias took care of our pet Paloma when we went away on vacation on a couple of ocassions. She is a little shy and doesn’t really like to be bothered. But Matias was flexible and willing to come in the mornings or at night when we knew she would be more interested in playing. He was very responsible as we gave him a key of our home and we never doubted of his character. He loves animals and truly cares for them. He often would tell us about his work in the vet program in his high school and he would be very knowledgeable of personality’s patterns as well as species traits. Even though he is young he is very mature and professional. We were super impressed with his work ethic.

I will always make sure your pet is safe and comfortable. I’ve done several visits in the past in which I stop by and watch pets for about an hour while owners go to dinner, etc. I’ll take your pet on a walk and give treats and commands to build trust. In terms of care- I make sure your fur baby is eating, drinking, urinating and defecating normally. I always make sure collars and harnesses are secure and the right size. I also always carry a slip leash with me in case something happens to their leash/harness/collar.

Temperament is a big one to make sure we take the right approach for introductions and safety. Are they on any medications? Do they have specific things they like/dislike? Anything important medically?
A typical day
We will go on walks and we will play for physical stimulation and we will work on commands and tricks for mental stimulation. Activities depend on the kind, size, and personality of the pet. But don’t worry, your pet will have good time regardless!

Availability
I work full time at a veterinary hospital from 7-6 and I do shorter hours during the weekend. I get a one hour lunch somewhere around 12-2pm so I am available to do several visits throughout the day. I am also open to pet and house sit!
