Work from home dog lover! SEE PICS!

Pet care experience

I've had dogs my entire life until the summer of 2023. I really missed having a dog around, so I started going to the dog park alone, just to pet random peoples' dogs 😅 I highly recommend checking out my photos, to see some of awesome things your dog will get to experience here with me! I host just one clients dog(s) at a time so that I can give them the best possible care and attention. I can accommodate whatever your dog is used to, from sleeping arrangements, bathroom habits, method of exercise, crating vs not, etc. In addition, if your dog has a challenge that you are concerned with (ex: resource guarding, aggression, separation anxiety, accidents in the house, nervousness, etc), I am ready and happy to accommodate! Based on my dog sitting experiences so far, I feel that I am well suited to make any dog feel as comfortable and happy as they can be, during the time they are away from their parents! I have no breed restrictions or hesitations-all dogs welcome!

Matia was so so amazing sitting my two pups. She was so thorough & organized from beginning to end. She treated the dogs as her own & they seemed to love her house. She has a very secure gated backyard and a secure front door which was important to me. I received lots of pics and videos for updates while i was away. I will 100% be using her for future visits & I feel lucky to have found her!

Matia did a great job taking care of our dog while we were out of town. Our dog Lizette has some quirks and can be a little difficult at times but Matia was able to handle everything with ease. She kept us informed daily with lots of pictures and comments which were much appreciated by us. We would be very comfortable using her again the next time we travel out of town. We are happy to recommend her to anyone who is looking to have their pets get lots of attention and be well taken care of.

Matia was so accommodating with my boys - she was incredibly flexible around times and our fluctuating schedule. She sent to many video and picture updates for our ease of mind and had so many activities for the boys. 10/10 would recommend you leave your dog with Matia.

Safety, trust & environment

My environment is ideal for pet enjoyment, and safety! If your dog likes using a dog door (or if you'd like me to teach them), I have 2! One that's easier for smaller dogs and one for taller dogs so they don't have to crouch uncomfortably to use it. The dog doors lead to a large patch of artificial grass for play and bathroom breaks. The yard has a 6-foot block fence, and a gate that remains locked. In the front I have 2 front doors, plus a dog gate in the entryway as an additional safety barrier. I also have ring cameras that cover pretty much everywhere your dog(s) will be. Additionally I have a variety of dog enrichment/playtime activities including dog puzzles/food/treat dispensers, bones that are safe to chew (flavored but non edible), toys, balls for fetch, and homemade treats (pupcicles) with dog safe ingredients. I also have a dog first aid kit handy at all times and in the event of an emergency, there's an emergency vet within walking distance of my house. I also keep the food cabinets and trash can lid secured from dogs being able to get into them.

Information Matia Z. would like to know about your pet

I do have a list of questions that I would like to ask you during our meet and greet (if we have one, which I do recommend to make sure everyone is comfortable). Otherwise we can discuss through the app. Mostly regarding their physical and mental well-being, such as any medical issues or allergies, separation or other anxieties, whether they are an "escape artist" (bolting out the door, jumping over fences or digging underneath), sleeping arrangements, preferred method of exercise, how they should be cared for when I do leave the house, and a few other questions.:)

A typical day

With most dogs, our day starts with either a walk or playing fetch in my back yard, whichever they prefer, then feeding (if they usually eat in the morning). Then when I'm working, the dogs will usually rest near me or even under my desk. After work we usually go for another walk or play out back again. The rest of the time your dogs usually like to go out back and sun bathe, relax, chew on a bone or do a dog puzzle. Usually near the end of the day the dogs like to cuddle up with me on the couch and watch TV (that's my favorite part)! Sometimes my handyman is here working during the day, he is also supportive and compliant with the pet safe and relaxed environment that I keep here.
