I have always owned a dog when I lived in Brazil. However, when we moved to the US we were unable to own our own dog and I really miss the companionship. I spent a year in Brazil in 2015 and there I dealt with many dogs all over the country. I helped raise some stray puppies who I had found in the middle of the street. I helped to find them shelter so their mom had a safe place to take care of them. I also fed their mom and kept away other stray dogs from hurting the puppies. In the same area I helped to take care of about 10 stray dogs.
