Vet Tech & fur baby favorite

Pet care experience

You can finally be at ease while you are away because I will watch over your pets like they are my own! I am a patient and compassionate individual, eager to work hard to become your pet's #2 (because nothing can replace you)! Your pet is also in GREAT hands and you can have confidence knowing a veterinary technician is handling things while you're away! I have worked critical care and emergency, which has provided me with nursing skills and the ability to recognize many health issues. Your pet will be under caring supervision and I will extend the same attentiveness to them as I would any patient. I have confidence delivering medications and know adverse reactions to watch for. I also worked as a veterinary assistant for over 2 years, where I took care of boarded animals and learned valuable information on animal behavior. I take pride in understanding my clients, so I assure that you will be satisfied with the way your pet is cared for. I will do my best to be attune to your pet's needs and will do my best to go above and beyond to provide them with comfort and happiness until your return. I am happy to answer questions and will remain available, should you need to contact me any time while I'm on duty. I also look after cats and rabbits! Feel free to inquire!

Mary Kate has watched over my boxer, Miley, well over a dozen times! Never once was I worried for Miley as I knew she was probably having more fun with Mary Kate than she does with me! Even when I would contact her last-minute (due to my own poor planning) she never failed to accommodate me. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a knowledgeable and patient guardian for their pups.

Marykate would be a responsible and loving dog caregiver. I have known Marykate for twenty-eight years. She is a kind-hearted, generous, thoughtful, responsible, gentle dog owner herself. I have observed her with my dog, Buddy, as well as her pets, a dog, and a rabbit. Marykate is very perceptive and observant when it comes to getting to know a dog and how to greet it initially and then how to meet the individual needs of the dog in her care. She has followed her passion and love for animals by studying and receiving a degree in Veterinary Technology from Purdue University as of August.

Marykate is AMAZING with animals!! She treats all animals as if they were own. She is calm and patient and you can really get a feel of how strong her passion and dedication is. I absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs to have their pet be in good hands.

Your pets can be cared for at home, where they are already the most comfortable. Let me know what this entails, as I want to establish a routine they are already somewhat familiar with! Whether they call for cuddles or play, I can spend uninterrupted time making it happen, while staying respectful of your home.

Information Marykate K. would like to know about your pet

I do not discriminate against any breeds, bully breeds are a personal favorite. I care to know as much about your dog as you want to share! It important that your pet gets the same level of care from me as they do when you are home, so the more I know about your pet's quirks and routine, the better I will be at providing the correct structure while you are gone. Additional information that is critical for me to know includes the following: -name of vet, I recommend you inform them of your absence and give you full consent to provide them with my name and contact information, in the event of an emergency -date of last vaccinations -current medications, including flea/tick and heartworm preventatives -any special diets or exercise requirements/restrictions

A typical day

Rain or shine, your pet will always get a chance to enjoy the outdoors. You can request that we stay in the neighborhood or venture out to the nearest park. I am confident at handling your dog on leash and always keep the poop scoop within reach. Let me know what activity your pet loves to do best, I'll make sure it is included in our day!
