Pet care experience

While cats have been my primary pet companions over the years, I do have experience caring for dogs as well. I've had the opportunity to be a dog owner on a few occasions throughout my life. During those times, I was fully responsible for ensuring all aspects of the dog's care and wellbeing. This included feeding them a nutritious diet, providing plenty of exercise through daily walks and playtime, grooming, administering any necessary medications, and of course, lots of petting and quality time. I'm comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and have experience walking dogs both on-leash and off-leash in appropriate areas. I understand reading their body language cues to ensure safe interactions. I'm also accustomed to the potty break routine and properly disposing of waste.

Maryann has been an exceptional cat sitter and I have used her multiple times. She provides loads of information when we are gone including pictures. She is able to work with both of our cats to ensure that they eat their own special diets. She is very responsive and prompt with the decided schedule. I look forward to my next trip and knowing that my cats will be well taken care of.

Maryann is amazing with pets! I’ve seen firsthand how animals gravitate towards her my dog, Jordan included! Jordan loves when Maryann comes over and I would 100% trust her to care for Jordan like he’s her own.

Maryann has helped dog sit my dog Bandit as well as taken him on a number of walks. Bandit loves Maryann so much and is always so excited when she stops by. She is great with dogs and I know that I can trust her to take great care of Bandit!

I have two cats, one big pup and Maryann takes care of them all like they're her own. She really helped me get rid of my anxiety from being on vacation and away from my pets. Could not have asked for a more communicative and caring pet sitter. You can def feel comfortable leaving your pets in her care (-: tysm!

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client's home, it's important to follow the established routines and instructions as closely as possible to help minimize stress and disruption for the pets. Feeding: Ensure I would feed the correct type, amount, and schedule of food and treats as directed by the owners, including preparing fresh food/water daily. Medications: If any pets require medications, I would confirm dosage instructions and administration times and set reminders to avoid missed doses. Litter Boxes/Potty Breaks: For cats, I would scoop litter boxes at least 1-2 times per day and change litter as needed. For dogs, I would take them out for potty breaks frequently, waiting until they go, and properly dispose of their waste. Exercise: Provide adequate physical activity and mental stimulation based on each pet's needs. This may include walks, playtime with toys, or other activities specified by the owner. Environment: Keep living areas clean and secure. Avoid any potential hazards and limit access to off-limits areas of the home. Updates: Send regular text/photo updates to pet owners to provide peace of mind about their pets' wellbeing and your attentiveness. No Visitors: For liability reasons and pets' comfort, I would not allow any visitors in the home unless explicitly allowed by the owners. Remain on Premises: I would plan to stay on the owners' premises to properly care for and monitor the pets during your agreed periods. By closely following each client's individualized care instructions and household rules, I can provide an optimal pet sitting experience and environment for each furry family member :)

I can make time for daily drop-ins if given at least 2 weeks notice and also flexible over night and weekends. Daily Routine: - Start the day by feeding pets their breakfast, cleaning litter boxes/taking dogs out, and providing fresh water. - Mid-day, during my lunch break I would spend time with playing with your pet, provide dogs with a potty break, and administer any medications needed at this time. - In the evenings after work, I'd make sure to set aside dedicated quality time for feeding, exercising, grooming, and playing with your pets before winding down for the night. - Throughout the day, I keep an eye on the pets' behavior for any signs where they need attention and build in potty break opportunities as required. Weekend Routine: - Weekends allow for more flexibility to spend extended playtime, go for longer walks, or even run pet errands like picking up food and supplies. - I would set aside extra time for deeper cleaning like cage/litter box changes and pet area cleaning.
