I have loved animals for my whole life, and regularly dog and cat sit. I used to work for a dog food company where I learnt a bit about training and dog psychology too!

I will have a thorough discussion with the owner first to get a sense of their dog's needs and personality. When dogsitting, I always take the dogs on a 45 mins/1 hour lunch walk, and can do smaller afternoon walks as well. I'm also used to dealing with nervous dogs too.
