Ready for a new four-legged friend!
Pet care experience
Hello! We are Will & Mary. Our sweet Olli passed away a couple years back and we miss having a pup around! Will is usually home during the day, and even so, Mary works close by, and could run home at lunch if needed. Mary raised a few puppies growing up, and later adopted Olli, who was a senior guy that just needed some extra TLC, including taking medication. We have watched lots of breeds, big and small, puppies and more senior pups. We have been through looking for a dog sitter and know how many factors can come into play; we are happy to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you and the long (or short) walks ahead!

I can’t say enough great things about Mary and Will! They have taken care of my puppy almost every week since he was 2 months old and I’ve always felt comfortable leaving him in their care and going to work. They take care of him like he’s their own and communicate well. They are flexible too. I especially loved reading about my pup’s day through Will’s very creative Rover card stories and seeing the pictures from each day as well. Now that our dog is a year old, we’ll be seeing less of Mary and Will but we’ll miss them dearly! Would recommend them to everyone!!
Will & Mary were great with my 9 month old German shepherd, Tucker. He has a lot of energy and they took him on a hike, let him play in the water and sent photos daily!
Will and Mary were great! I had booked a 4-night stay for my 50 lb pit mix Ziggy, and they allowed us to come by for a quick visit beforehand just to make sure everyone was comfortable (mostly for me…I’m a worried mom). He can sometimes be a handful, but he took to them quickly. I received photos throughout of Ziggy lounging around on their sofa and bed, as if it was his own home. They also took him on a hike and on nice walks around the city, and I couldn’t have asked for more! They were also super flexible and so graciously agreed to host Ziggy for one more night, as it took us a while to get through customs and we just missed our connecting flight coming home by a few minutes. Thanks again – I will definitely reach out the next time we go away!
Mary and Will watched our labradoodle for 5 nights and he seemed extremely comfortable and happy during his stay with them. Their communication was clear and consistent and we enjoyed the picture updates they sent. They were both great and we will definitely book with them in the future. Thank you!!

During the day, we do mid-morning/ mid-afternoon potty breaks. We’ll make additional trips outside as your dog indicates. If we’ve gotten to know a dog’s tendencies, we adjust to whatever works best for them here. One note: We have learned over the last few years, that many dogs new to our house/leash walks/city-life generally, take a while to feel comfortable doing their business, so we are just patient and present them with as many opportunities as possible.

Information Mary & Will D. would like to know about your pet
We do not have a crate, if your pup feels comfortable in one, usually uses one, or if frankly you aren’t sure if they’re safe being left alone while we run to the grocery store, by all means please bring yours along. Other than that, as long as you put any info that you think of, when you think of it, in the “care info” we can figure most things out. i.e. Any quirks that seem to work to get your pup to enjoy a particular experience are always helpful. Whether they tend to be reactive to other dogs on walks is helpful, but not totally necessary; as we are super careful/diligent while initially getting to know a new furry friend when we’re out and about.
A typical day
Olli was not really in running shape, but he loved to sniff around the block. We look forward to walks of all distances around Baltimore.

Availability
As far as routine, we typically do 60 minute walks/jogs around 5:00am and 5:00pm, with a roughly 20 minute stroll around lunchtime (doggy ability dependent). Will works remote and can usually adjust his day as needed. Mary works a mile from home and will be around for any before and after work activities!
