All will be spoiled in my care

Pet care experience

Since day one, I have always had a dog in my life. A cat in my adult years and a few other critters throughout the years. They are all family! All my dogs have always been a big part of my life and I care for them deeply. Family/Friends have trusted me to care for their pets when needed. I am always happy to lend a helping hand, or a lap to cuddle on, an arm to throw a ball, or even lacing up those tennis shoes for a walk. I currently have a “teenager” (4 year American Staffordshire Terrier… major cuddles, playful, very sensitive stomach) and recently our senior Luna past over the rainbow bridge. I am patient and have energy for any requirement you may need while your babies are in my care.

Absolutely fantastic! She gave me updates multiple times a day with pictures and really reassured me. She made my Jade welcome and comfortable in her home. Definitely great to work with.

Mary is a former roommate and helped me raise my special needs cat. She was patient and caring throughout the process. I have recently hung out with her and her 2 dogs. They were very loving and kind dogs.

Mary is a wonderful and loving pet caretaker! She is very responsive and great communicator. She does a great job of following up and letting me know how things are going . I know they are in good hands and well taken care of and that puts me at ease when I'm away.

Mary loves dogs and is totally dedicated to her own (makes them their dog food from scratch, takes them for walks, plays ball with them endlessly and grooms them herself). She has a ton of patience and is great with all breeds of dogs. Mary is honest, trustworthy, kind and the perfect person to watch your pet.

We have 5 acres of unfenced land to run around in. I also have a very large fenced Garden the dogs are allowed to roam in for off leash fun, as well as a sizeable wrap around deck to chill on and soak up the sun. We are outdoor people, so are our dog(s), so if it’s nice, you will find us out and about. With our training they do well to stay within our property and listen well if running around the yard. Communicate if your dog(s) need to be leashed (also have a leash line setup between trees to enjoy the outdoors as well). I would hope in any environment that your pets are trained and do well in the space provided or within, please communicate any special concerns, etc. I do have experience with “shock” collars for more so the ‘tone’ button, as we have cows, other wildlife, and woods surrounding our house, we use this to protect our dogs from our surroundings periodically throughout the year. So I am comfortable using this method to ensure your pups stay safe.

Information Mary V. would like to know about your pet

If they have any special needs, quirks, etc please let me know ahead of time, so I can plan accordingly. For example, my Luna had many anxieties and didn’t do well with thunderstorms/lightening, bonfires, fireworks, gunshots, etc so I plan ahead with calming medicines, tuckering her out, or I bring her to a safe space away from those events/activities the best that I can. Or Squirrel in the summer with his short hair, those mosquitos and gnats just love biting him, giving him welts, so I administer a bug spray for dogs to help keep those bugs away or apply lotion/spray to help with any irritations. I want to be as helpful as I can… being “prepared” is my middle name. PS. I marked “no” for taking care of “special needs dogs” I believe that can be construed on many levels. I am open to discussing any and all special needs and we can discuss if myself and you are comfortable booking with me if any special cases/concerns arise.

A typical day

Depending on your dogs needs… I always enjoy taking them for walks down the street, in the yard, etc. My dogs love the chuck-it for throwing balls. We play tug of war with a rope or fetch with a frisbee. Belly rubs, watching wildlife, filling a kong with treats. I try to do activities to keep them busy and keep them young and active, along with naps and quiet time too. I am flexible, as I’m sure your furry family is too, just let me know if there is anything in particular your pup enjoys over others.
