Pet care experience
There has never been a time in my life I haven't been surrounded by pets. While at UNC, when I had to stop living with my fur family, I volunteered at the animal shelter regularly. Later, I began working at a boarding kennel, providing walks, love, food, and medical needs to up to 40 different animals daily! Shortly after, I began working as a Veterinary Assistant at an animal hospital. After college, I worked full time as a Surgery Assistant at Veterinary Specialty Hospitals, where I worked with animals everyday providing expert care, sometimes emergent. I currently go to the graduate school of Social Work at UNC and would love to keep your dog comfortable while you are away, and love hiking and being outdoors (I especially love the trials that run through Carrboro).

Mary was so great! She agreed to watch my cat super last minute and took great care of him. She was communicative, personable, and reliable- everything you’d ask for in someone watching your pet. I would definitely recommend Mary to any of my friends or family!!
Mary was wonderful with Brie while I was away for a longer vacation. She came to my house and kept her company for me. She was great about keeping me posted on their outings and sent pictures so I could see all the fun they were having. I would definitely recommend her and will be using her again in the future! Mary was friendly and helpful throughout. She was flexible about meeting to get a key from me, sent pictures of my cat, and updated me on what she did each visit. My cat is very shy with new people and I was really happy to see pictures of him sitting with her to be pet!

I would like to know if your dog is dog aggressive. Not because I will not enjoy them as equally, I just want to know to be more careful if we pass by other animals on our time together.
A typical day
I live in an animal friendly apartment with a beautiful courtyard with lots of room to run and play outside. As my family dog has trained me well, I love playing fetch. I also am a runner and would love to run/hike with your dog! I love being outside, so walking will be mutually enjoyed and frequent. If your dog is of age, I also enjoy sitting outside the local breweries and socializing. More of a couch potato? I also have a queen size bed with room for snuggles and tons of movies to couch surf and relax.
