I have always known Mary to have a compassionate heart towards pets and animals in general. Mary enjoys the company of her pets and other peoples pets as well as the occasional visit from a red-headed woodpecker that frequents her back yard. When I first met Mary, she had a quirky little dog named Lucy. She did everything in her power to provide a happy life for Lucy. They enjoyed long walks together, taking trips to a nearby farm and just lounging together when the weather was bad. When Lucy lost her appetite in her later years and did not want to eat, Mary would make her chicken and rice. Then there is Linus, a stray kitten taken in by Mary and her son. He is a full grown cat now, spoiled rotten and provides much entertainment for them both. Mary has cared for several of my dogs when they needed constant attention after surgeries. I believe Mary would make an excellent candidate for the Rover service.

I have known Mary Smyrl for around 15 years. She had a sweet little dog named Lucy for a long time who she absolutely adored. She would play with her, take her outside and she treated her like she was her own child. She really loved that dog. She took her to the vet and made sure she was up on her shots. Unfortunately, Lucy passed away and Mary was devastated. I would highly recommend Mary to be able to have this opportunity.
