Mary, my daughter, has demonstrated an deep understanding and commitment to dogs since we adopted our family pet when Mary was 8. She has advocated for fostering dogs and was the sole reason that our family began fostering puppies during the pandemic. She educated herself on the process, the care needed and was key influencer in who we selected for adoption of the dogs we fostered. We adopted our own (second) dog and Mary takes amazing care of both her animals. She parlayed this love into a job her freshman year caring for a puppy during the week.
