Pet care experience
I’ve been a go-to for friends and family to take care of their pets when they are out of town. Whether it's staying at their house or having the pets over at mine, I love having new dog/cat friends in my life. I grew up on a ranch and am very comfortable around animals of all sorts and sizes. I'm good at reading animal behavior and am very tuned in to what a pet needs to be happy, whether that's lots of cuddles, long walks, a quiet environment or active playtime. I look forward to meeting your pets!
Reviews
Mary was amazing! She sent photos all the time and kept me updated on the pets every day! She was very easy to work with and get ahold of. She also works from home so if there was ever any worry about the animals not getting attention, that was thrown out the window. She would send photos of her doing her work with the pets or reading with them and it really just made me feel so grateful that they weren't ignored for a week! I will definitely be returning to Mary for future trips where we need sitters for the cats!
Our dog had a wonderful time staying with Mary and her pets. Communication was excellent, and Mary sent daily pictures of our pup having tons of fun, which gave us peace of mind while we were traveling.
Mary was so great with our cat Mattis. Absolutely will be using her anytime we go out of town for extended periods of time.
Mary M. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.

Safety, trust & environment
I live on a quiet farm surrounded by open fields away from the road. There's a creek in my yard and lots of open space to take walks with just me and the dog. There is no fenced yard. My place is ideal for dogs who do well off-leash, can come when called, and need lots of exercise. If a dog does have some anxiety or is prone to run off, I'd keep them on a leash. I have one dog, an Australian Kelpie who is 8 and gets along well with all dogs. Personally I'm a very active person and would love to take your dog on walks/hikes if they are able. I have a cat who is indifferent to dogs. I do have an XL kennel and bed I can setup in case you’re traveling and can’t take your kennel with but know your dog would feel safer sleeping in a kennel setup.

Information Mary M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know a little bit about the personality/needs of your pet. Do they have any special needs? Do they get really nervous/destructive if left alone for a short amount of time? What would a manageable walk/hike length be for them? Do they have voice commands and are they good about responding to them?
A typical day
We’ll go on lots of walks in the big open fields that surround my house! I’ll discuss with you beforehand if your dog will listen well off-leash. There’s also nearby trails that we’ll go on hikes/runs on (on-leash). My house has a massive yard to play fetch and a creek for them to play in the water on hot summer days.

Availability
I work from home so my schedule is incredibly flexible! My day start with a dog walk down my .5 mile long private driveway so we don’t have to worry about cars, and can enjoy a peaceful morning. We do this walk about 3X a day, and most days a longer run or walk in the evening.
