Pet care experience
Over the past 35 years, we've had three dogs who lived to 13, 14 and 15 years. We are very familiar with older dogs as well as young dogs and enjoy playing with dogs. After the loss of our last dog, Lucy, we decided to take a break from having another dog as we were empty nesters. We love dogs and were encouraged by our grown children to try Rover. We live on a quiet street near the York Harbor Beach and our house is far from the road with woods all around us. I am a regular daily walker and would love to have a dog to walk with me on occasion. I am familiar with the regulations on leashes, beach hours and waste bags.

I really appreciated the questions that Mary asked prior to taking care of my wonderful dog. She listened carefully and made sure she understood what he'd need while she took care of him. Mary gets 5 stars from bth the dog and from me.
Mary was fantastic. She was communicating throughout the entire stay, she sent tons of pictures, and let us know how he was doing. Next time we are in Maine we will absolutely be using Mary!
Mary was fantastic! On short notice, by me, she made herself available. Mary took Tack for a walk on the beach, yes, she asked if it was okay with me at drop off. Then she sent pictures of Tack during his stay. I highly recommend Mary!
Mary is so great with our dog, Carter! She takes him on many walks and adventures. She is great at sending over photos and updates as well. I would definitely recommend her!

We have had puppies, dogs needing medications, elderly dogs and also special needs dogs (adopted feral dogs). We are very careful to protect the visiting dogs.
A typical day
We love to play with our visiting dogs and always like to take them for walks on the beach. If ok with the owner, we can take the dog for boat rides and have dog life jacket to keep them safe.

We are generally home on the days we accept pet sitting to take care of any visiting dogs. We became pet sitters because we enjoy hanging out with dogs.
