I have experience caring for both cats and dogs. I've always had cats of my own. I have cared for many of my friends’ pets while they are away. For many years I had friends for whom I used to dog-sit and cat-sit in their home. They had two cats and two dogs--medium size, collie mix and lab mix, dogs. I have experience walking the dogs, feeding, taking to vet appointments. I have experience walking and caring for my in-laws dogs (golden retrievers and springer spaniels). I am energetic and love playing with cats and dogs.

Mary did a wonderful job taking care of Mickey while I was away, and I’m very happy with the care she provided. Mickey is a senior dog and an extremely picky eater, so he can require a little extra patience and attention. Mary was very patient with him and even cooked additional food for him when the chicken I had prepared before my trip ran out, which I really appreciated. Communication with Mary was excellent throughout my trip. She was very responsive and would usually reply almost immediately whenever I messaged her, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. She also kept me updated on how Mickey was doing. Before I returned, she washed the sheets and towels she, and she even stayed with Mickey until I arrived home rather than leaving him alone before I got there. That meant a lot to me, especially after a long day of traveling. Overall, I had a very positive experience with Mary. She was kind, patient, dependable, and clearly cared about making sure Mickey was comfortable and well taken care of. I would definitely feel comfortable having her care for Mickey again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and responsible sitter.

Ruthie had another week long stay with Mary. Took excellent care of her and Ruthie really enjoyed her squirrel hunting adventures in Petworth 😀
Mary was great taking care of my cat. She left me daily notes on how my cat was doing. She was super easy to work with.

I loved working with Mary!! Our cat Snowball stayed with her while we were on a trip and she had a great time. Mary is a true professional and prior to the booking we spoke on the phone and discussed Snowball’s needs and her daily routine. Mary has a very kind personality and is warm. I felt at ease during Snowball’s entire stay. Mary would send photos and let me know Snowball was doing. I would highly recommend Mary and wish to use her in the future if I am ever out of town and in need for cat boarding services.

Schedule
I’m currently working from home (9 to five) so am available throughout the day and evenings and weekends. I’m happy to walk dogs as needed throughout the day. I can host or do over night stays.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced backyard, though note there are a flight of stairs to get down to the backyard. It is small with some bushes and trees and a paved patio. I enjoy walking (as many times as needed per day) and there many grassy areas near by. I don’t have an issue with dogs in the sofa or beds.
