I grew up with dachshunds, both of whom were special needs. One was blind and the other highly anxious. I learned how to care for them expertly at a young age and never stopped giving them the extra love they needed. Because of this, I am especially sensitive to other animals’ needs and can provide extra TLC, administer medicine, and perform grooming as needed, with the animals’ comfort and wellbeing as my goal. I have years of experience caring for incontinent senior dogs, and will even change doggy diapers when needed! I love all animals, so, even if you need me to care for your pet cricket or alligator, I’m your gal!

On dog walks, I will use whatever leashes you have provided, but I have one I can bring as well. I’ll make sure to get your pup(s) fresh, cool water upon our return! Note: I won’t walk dogs on hot pavement unless they’re wearing paw protection and will exercise them inside as much as possible on extra hot days. Potty breaks will also be done on grassy areas to protect their paws. Unless you provide me with a schedule for taking care of your precious one, I’ll usually start with a potty break, then feeding, and finally playing, bathing, grooming, etc. If I’m caring for cats, I’ll empty their litter boxes at the end, so they have a chance to go while I’m there. A happy animal makes me happy!

Please let me know if your dog has any special or medical needs. I am very comfortable administering oral, eye, ear, and injectable medication. If your dog is highly anxious or has had a rough past, let me know that too, and I’ll be extra gentle, without too much rough housing. Also, please let me know if your pet is incontinent; I’ll check for messes on the floor to clean up. Please let me know where I can find cleaning materials so I can take care of that.
A typical day
I’ll play with them at home, with their favorite toys, love on them with belly rubs and body scratches, and take them on tours of the neighborhood. I can take them to their favorite haunts, or, if they’d like, I’ll show them some new places to explore! I like both walking and running; it’s up to your pup to pick the energy level!

Availability
I’m currently a stay at home mom, so I’ll be available between dropping off and picking up my children from school, as well as on the weekends. If you need me in the early morning (before 7:00), I could make that work, too!
