Experienced Dog-Sitter
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Mary Grace and I have over 17 years of dog-sitting experience. I work remote full-time, so your fur-baby will receive personalized, loving care 24/7. I'm very reliable, organized, and have a flexible schedule. I currently foster dogs for an organization that specializes in herding breeds (mainly Australian Shepherds), so it is likely I will have a foster(s) during your pet's stay. All my fosters are temperament-tested and must be able to get along with other dogs before I accept them. I've worked as a receptionist at a dog grooming facility and currently volunteer at an animal shelter (PAWS) which has helped me gain more exposure and awareness to animals with varying medical conditions that require special care. I have first-hand experience caring for special needs dogs administering insulin shots to diabetic dogs. More than happy to provide references upon request. If you or someone you know is in need of dog-sitting services, please feel free to message me for more info!
Reviews
Mary Grace was perfect for our fur-baby! She had Milford from Saturday to Monday night. I was ecstatic when she asked me if an hour long walk was ok for Milford. How perfect! We got multiple pictures of Milford each day…and he was so very well taken care of. Highly recommend!
Mary Grace is always quick to respond to all requests and always keeps me updated with multiple photos of my fur child throughout the day leaving no doubt she is being loved and cared for. Can’t recommend her enough.
Mary Grace did an excellent job caring for our dog. Our dog Remmi is a 12 year old Coonhound with blinding cataracts and arthritis as well as other ailments generally associated with older dogs. Mary Grace provided remmi with plenty of care and attention which put Remmi at ease in a very short time. She consistently provided us with updates and photos to let us Know that Remmi was doing well. We would definitely recommend Mary Grace to anyone who needed a dog sitter and we will be asking her to look after our dog again.
Mary Grace was a godsend to our family. Our beloved and notoriously mischievous 11 year old /70lb shepherd mix is prone to stress and can’t be comfortably boarded in a facility. He is also getting older, so he struggles with separation anxiety and requires frequent walks and intellectual stimulation. Mary Grace was a perfect fit. She is extremely competent and conscientious. She met both Ranger’s needs as a full time companion (walks, feeding, engaging) and my needs as a concerned parent (pictures, updates, etc). It’s the first time we’ve traveled in years that I was not constantly worried about Ranger. I would not hesitate to book with her again or to recommend her to others. She is amazing and I’m so grateful for how well she cared for our boy.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog's health and safety is my first priority. My boyfriend and I live in an apartment complex located in a safe, gated community. I have access to 2 large fenced-in dog parks and there is a wonderful walking trail around the lake. All dogs eligible to be boarded at my home must be fully house broken and get along well with other dogs. If your dog has recently (past 2 weeks) been in contact with Parvo, Giardia or kennel cough, unfortunately I will not accept them in my home for the safety of others in my care.

Information Mary Grace D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I should be aware of. While your dog will always be under my supervision, it's important that they have a good temperament towards other dogs that might be present during their stay.
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs physically and mentally. I have lots of toys we can take to the dog parks in my neighborhood and there is a wonderful trail around the lake perfect for walks! My profile states that dogs aren't allowed on my furniture / bed, but this is really just up to the owner's preference (I don't want them to pick up any bad behaviors during their stay). Dogs are more than welcome to be on my furniture / bed if that is what they are accustomed to - just make sure to clarify with me first!
