Pet care experience
I've been dog sitting for friends for years and, more recently, friends of friends. Breeds I've watched include dachshunds (who knew they need a good workout?), Vischla, Australian Shepherd, Mini Aussie (cutest ever) and mutts. I grew up with a Springer Spaniel, too.

Mary cares deeply about animals, especially dogs. Over the years she has cared for a number of our rescue dachshunds. We always appreciated her love for the dogs, the communication, etc. She is a very organized, very detail oriented person. She is now a dog mom to Sam and is a great dog owner. I would highly recommend her as a pet sitter!

I'd like to know if your dog can have treats or has dietary restrictions. How far do they like to walk? Do they have separation anxiety and, if so, do you leave on a TV or play music to help them not feel so alone?
A typical day
For drop-in visits, I'll make sure your dog has fresh water and eats at the right time. We'll then go for a walk to stretch his or her legs and take in all the smells of the neighborhood. Afterward, we can hang out and play or cuddle if your pup likes that kind of attention.

I'm currently job searching and pursuing freelance writing opportunities. My schedule is flexible for dog walking and drop-in visits. I'd love to walk or check in on your pup and spend time with them when you need me.
