Pet care experience
After being a licensed wildlife rehabber for 25 years, I can handle just about anything in the domestic, and some wild, animal worlds. I've also worked with large animal vets as well as small animal vets. And, of course, I've had all kinds of pets over the decades. I've done lots of animal care and pet sitting over the years, including taking care of 6-12 Irish Setter champion show dogs on a regular basis. Mary is very knowledgeable, experienced and clearly cares about animals. We had no issues and came back home feeling like we hadn’t left, no surprises. She went above and beyond and monitored our oldest dog who swallowed a small piece of corn cob and was still hadn’t passed it by the time our trip was scheduled. She sent pictures so we knew when he finally did and it was a big relief. Highly recommended!

Just let me know if your pet has special needs or sensitivities. I'm happy to accommodate so that your pup or other pets are comfy and very well cared for while you are away. If your dog pulls hard on the leash during walks, I will work with him/her to decrease pulling. I just don't want to have my shoulder pulled out of my socket, or otherwise risk my safety and your dog's safety. :-)
A typical day
I love to teach and train dogs of all sorts. I will take time to play with your pup, give snuggles, and scritches, and I'll work on basic commands if you'd like me to do so.

Availability
I am at home the majority of the time and I have a very flexible work from home schedule. I'll be happy to walk your well-behaved pup in the cool parts of the day. I can also do in-home visits if you work away from home and need someone to check on your pets. And, of course, I'm available for pet sitting, but I'd rather not do overnights since I have my own pups at home.
