I've personally had dogs since I was 10 years old. I'm a school teacher who is lucky enough to be able to take her dog to school and teach pet responsibility to students. I've fostered dogs for the DC Weim Club and helped find homes for these pets. I have been blessed with dogs that have lived to be 15 years old. My children were raised with Rottweilers. Currently I have a weimeraner and a dachshund. My son has a Rottweiler and my daughter has a Vizla. We love dogs.
