Pet care experience
I work full time remotely at a non profit but am looking for opportunities to hang out with your fur baby! I understand and respect that each pet has their own special personality and needs. I've witnessed this when watching my sister's Dogs for extended periods of time. Two of my sisters dogs—Hazel and George—have such contrasting, but lovable personalities. George--part doberman and husky--was born with contrasting colored eyes, one of which he cannot see out of very well. Because of this Georgy is often skeptical of strangers, often barking and growling. But we have learned to help him remain calm and respect that he has different communication needs especially because he was a rescued dog. Over the years, he has been more friendly and less scared. The challenging experiences when raising George has taught me to be more attentive to dogs, and more aware of their needs and behaviors. By contrast, I also have experience caring for elder dogs. Our other furry family member, Hazel the sweetheart, is my dog. She is keenly tuned into others feelings and loves to sit outside and listen to the ukulele or guitar. I’ve cared for her when she’s had gastrointestinal issues, and hip soreness that effected her walking. In addition to my personal pets, I interact often with my friends animals, and get along/love dogs of all breeds and sizes!! I work remotely full time for a non profit. This allows me to spend my breaks with Pets. My colleagues are also pet-friendly and welcome guest appearances from pets during our zoom meeting! My schedule is flexible, but I usually take the pups out 4 times a day: Morning as soon as I'm up, Afternoon, Early evening, Right before bed. However, I understand that the needs of each pet may vary and flexible with scheduling. When housesitting, I will love your your pets as if they are family! I also also ask for written instructions so I can be sure I am sticking to the routine that your pet is used to. I also would love to know their quirks, preferences, favorite spots, play etc.
Reviews
Mary is our favorite house sitter! My dogs are happy and not stressed when we get home. She sends lots of pictures, ask questions when she doesn’t know something, and pays attention to their needs. Not only does she care for our senior dog, she always tidies up too.
Angus and Mackenzie loved having Mary stay with them. She requested info on each dog so she could follow their routines and reduce anxiety. We returned to happy dogs and a clean home. Thanks Mary! We will definitely use Mary again and highly recommend her!
Mary was so great with our Frodo. She gave us a lot of updates and took excellent care of our home. I highly recommend her.
Mary was so wonderful with our two dogs and cat!! We have a very anxious older dog, and Mary was so patient and kind with her. Mary was very good at keeping us updated and informed about everything going on. We are so grateful to have found her!!
