A hardworking animal caretaker!
Pet care experience
I own two dogs and two cats of my own, who love some good playmates. Although it sounds like a full house, my fur babies are very used to making friends and we always welcome more! My house has 2 bedrooms with minimal clutter and easy-to-clean floors, and I love making the animals cozy and safe. I try my best to cater to each pet’s individual needs to ensure their safety. I take into account each pet’s specific needs when it comes to approach, discipline, play time and feeding time. I am naturally a person who likes to work things out, so if there are any scheduling difficulties on either of our ends I will do my best to find a solution so that you can get your pet here safely and securely!
Reviews
Mary is wonderful ! She took good care of Daisy and I plan to use her again ! Daisy wanted to stay ???????
My Dalai was well taken care of for about a week. Thanks so much Mary!
Mary was great! I would highly recommend her. She gave our pups some extra TLC. We could tell they had a wonderful time. She was super accommodating and went out of her way to make sure everyone was well cared for. We will happily use her again!
Mary is as great dog walker, and is always enthusiastic to take care of our dog! She is very responsive with communication for setting up days and any special animal requests, as well as keeping us up to date with if the walks went ok, and pup photo updates!

If you are prone to anxiety over your pet, I suggest you come visit my home prior to committing to the stay or at least 1 week before your booking so that you know you will be comfortable with your pets here. If you are a major planner and don’t like changing plans last minute, please let me know. I do not want to make the mistake of creating anxiety on your end if I ask the day before to alter a plan. I am a planner to some extent but on the other hand I am accommodating to unforeseen circumstances and am willing to either keep your pet slightly longer than planned or take them in early. I will always try to make the boarding work if something comes up during the original scheduled time. I love going on walks/runs with dogs, catering to their needs and getting to know them on an individual level. You can expect assertive yet calm discipline and active training when they are in my care. I do have the space to separate dogs if necessary. I’ve always wanted to treat dogs and cats how I would want to be treated. I sympathize with them and care about their feelings and wellbeing.

Some questions I will ask you: 1. What time does your dog need to be fed? 2. Emergency contact person if I cannot reach you: _______. 3. A vet that has your pet’s records. 4. Tell me a bit about yourself so I know who I’m working with.
A typical day
We will play fetch, tag, and tug of war! Or, for calmer dogs, we will take walks outside. Every dog in my house has a cozy place to sleep and lots of stimulation!

I work at Asheville Community Movement, M-F during the day. Most days I am able to swing by home mid day if there is a puppy here or if your pet cannot go 7-8 hours without care. My doggos are great for that time frame and sleep for most of the time I’m gone. I spend all of my extra time at home and love to have fun with the dogs as much as I can. I have one XL dog crate that Luna still uses as she is prone to destroying things still. My cats mainly hang out in my bedroom and have their own cat entrance in and out. I keep cat food separated from the dogs so that the cats can eat in peace. I live in Alexander, NC on a small plot of land surrounded by woods. One of my dogs can run free but the other one is prone to hunting so I keep her on a log lead. I have two leads, and can keep your dog on that or a leash at all time outside. I have one neighbor. My two cats are used to dogs and they hide if a new dog comes around.
