I grew up with cats for most of my life. I was reasonable for feeding and giving clean water every day. Also I would scoop out the litter box daily and change it every week. I have learned that all cats, like kids, have different personalities and how to meet their needs based on their personalities. Some cats are affectionate and want attention and some just want food, I offer to pet all cats but let them decided if they want to be petted or just be left alone. I have always had a heart for dogs but have never had the opportunity, or the resources to give them the best life they deserve. I did have a roommate that had a Black Lab named Bo that I helped take care of. His owner worked during the day whereas I worked at night. I would take Bo out for walks at least once a day and took him out to go potty has needed. I fed him in the morning and gave him fresh water. We went to dog parks, played catch and he loved to snuggle as you watched TV, anytime I sat on the floor he would lay behind me and nudge me until I laid on his belly where we would fall asleep together. I have dog sat on multiple occasions for friends and family. My duties would include feeding twice a day and giving fresh water, let them out to go potty and pick up after them, check for ticks, take them on walks, play catch, pet, and love on them. I am not afraid of telling an animal no but praise them when they do something right or good!
