Pet care experience
I've worked with lots of rescues, some show dogs, have visited more than 60 shelters and attended 10 + animal welfare conferences (Best Friends, US Humane Society, International Anthrozoology Conference, etc), certified in Pet First Aid, dog walking and training courses, and keep up with positive communication skills, productive play, cognitive games, and provide a calm, peaceful energy to encourage the dogs and/or cats to feel safe, secure, and happy. We had three rescue dogs for 13, 14, and 17 years, and currently have three; ages 8, 9, and 10. They are all very healthy, happy, and have helped me care for a 6 week old puppy. In addition to dog walks, and a large fenced-in back yard to frolic in, I also frequently take our dogs to the dog park. That would beca personal choice by each animal's family. Our dogs vaccines are all up to date and they love other dogs.
Reviews
This is the first time using Rover.com. We are very happy with Mary. She took care of the cats took in our mail and checked in every day. We hope that next time we have a trip she will still be available to watch the cats.
Mary watched my precious kitty Gandalf and did a great job! She sent me pictures and was very communicative! Will have her again!
Mary is fabulous! Buckley had so much fun! He was happy and relaxed when I got home from work😊❤️
I am so happy that I found Mary on Rover. I had her do a mid-day potty visit for our dog. She sent photos of her visit, and she spent time playing fetch with him in the backyard. When I got home, he was relaxed and happy instead of wound up and stressed. Thank you, Mary!

Information Mary C. would like to know about your pet
I don't have any breed preferences or discriminations. I would want to know if there are any resource guarding issues, any history of aggression or biting of people or animals, and quirks or fears that can set them off, and best way to comfort them. Also, any special needs, health issues, how they get along with other dogs, are their vaccines current. What is their favorite thing/things to do? Do they like long walks or are they couch potatoes who like to sleep and chill out? Are they cuddlers, like kisses, enjoy belly scratches, or have their ears scratched? Is there any part of their body that is sensitive or painful that should not be touched?
A typical day
We are blocks away from the paved EWEB bikung/walking trail, as well as several parks with trails and four fenced-in dog parks within 15 minutes of our home. We also have a broad range of toys; balls, squeakies, ropes for tug-of-war, and neighborhood walks. I also have many hide-a-treat/kibbies toys that are excellent for brain stimulation.
