Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Mary and I have been dog sitting/walking for many years. I am a recent PhD graduate student and spend most of my days working in a research lab. So any day I get to take a break to spend time with dogs is a really good day. I grew up with a black lab and now have an eight-year-old blue heeler of my own, named Daisy. I have worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. I also used to work at a horse stable, so I am comfortable around all animals. I know how to work with dogs that have a ton of energy, as well as those that are a bit more timid. I am up for anything! Walking, running, chilling outside, playing, going to the dog park, hiking, a little help with training, you name it! P.S. I recently completed my PhD but was not allowed to take other jobs during grad school. So there is a gap of inactivity in my account but I am back and excited to meet more doggos :)
Reviews
Mary was fantastic! My dog had a ton of fun and was very comfortable with her. I received the cutest pictures and clear communication from Mary. Will definitely book with her again!
Mary was a life saver when I had to go back to work just a couple days after getting Baxter from the shelter. I was worried about sending him off to doggy day care when he still needed to adjust to his new home, so having Mary come by a couple times during the day to keep him occupied and exercised was perfect. She was very flexible with my last minute needs and was even able to come by for a meet and greet the same day that I booked her! My shy boy warmed to her quickly and she was accommodating of my every (nervous new dog mom) request. She was a pro with handling Baxter when he was feeling under the weather on her last day with him! I'm sure he's looking forward to many future walks with Mary!
Mary has been great with our very young lab/border collie mix, keeping him entertained and us in the loop about how he's doing. She's fantastic with his routine as well as working with us on scheduling. Would highly recommend her to watch over your pup!
I can't say enough about Mary, she made my 10 day vacation relaxing and worry free. It was the longest time I was away from my pooches, one being a Shiba Inu who isn’t the friendliest to anyone outside of his pack but Mary won him over!! She sent pictures everyday which I really looked forward to, Cheddar and Jazz looked so happy. Mary made a stressful situation easy. I will definitely keep her information on speed dial and reach out to Mary for all future vacations. Mary, thanks again for everything!
About Mary C.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
For first-time clients, I like to meet both the owner and dog in person beforehand. This allows the dog to meet me in a safe and comfortable environment and also allows you to get to know me. You have created a routine and lifestyle they are accustomed to, so I make it a priority to deviate from that as little as possible. I simply want to make sure both you and your pet are happy while making sure they get the care and attention that they need.
Information Mary C. would like to know about your pet
Daily routines (normal potty times, feeding times, and walk times) Allergies Medications Socialization (Are they friendly to other dogs on walks?) Habits (Do they pull on the leash a lot? It's ok if they do! If you want me to work with them on this, just let me know.) Overall personality!
A typical day
I will take your dog anywhere you are comfortable with me taking them. I can go on a casual walk around the neighborhood, take them to the park, play fetch, or take them on a jog. Whatever they need. I have a very high-energy dog that loves to explore, so I know what it takes to keep a dog happy and excercized.

I am currently working part-time as I look for a post-grad job. So I will have plenty of time to play with your dog. I am generally quite flexible. So let me know what works for you and I'll do my best to make it work.
