I've been watching people's animals since I was ten years old and acted as animal caretaker at Carroll Middle School from 2007 to 2009. There, I took care of multiple exotics, such as birds, reptiles, and small mammals. Since then, I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Agricultural Communications. I currently own a sweet little rescue Dachshund named Basil and a cat named Zazu. Even in college, I worked diligently with my apartment complex's dog park to ensure safety for the residents. Additionally, I took a companion animal behavior course to understand the behaviors of cats and dogs better. Pets, especially dogs, can pick up multiple diseases and bad behaviors from boarding kennels, such as kennel cough and giardia. As your petsitter, your pets will be in the comfort of their environment and will be able to stick to their routines. Regarding medicines and injections, I am a fast learner. I have a good grasp on subcutaneous injections, but if your dog requires intravenous injections, I will need a demonstration, so I know what reactions/behaviors to expect from your dog. When I say that I treat your animals as I would my own, I mean it! When I go out of town, I love getting updates and pictures from my sitter. With that, I promise to do the same for yours! I will send you photos of your pet and send you reports of their day, giving you peace of mind while you are away.
