I have owned a dog most of my life.

Pet care experience

I've always been blessed with wonderful dogs. They bring joy and unconditional love to any home. As side jobs I've worked in kennels and have done grooming. l've owned Dobermans to mutts. They all have their own personalities and qualities. We had to put our dog to sleep . My husband and I really feel a void without a beloved pet. There is no dog to greets us. I love the outdoors and being active in it. Our home is air conditioned in the summer and toasty warm in winter. We live on a acre lot in a quite and dog friendly neighborhood. Dogs on medication are welcome. And most physical limitations are not a issue.

Wynnie has stayed with Mary so many times now we have deemed her Wynnie’s second family. Mary treats Wynnie nothing less than family while she stays, and Wynnie loves Mary just as much as she loves her paw-rents! Having someone available to watch our pup while we go on vacation and knowing that every single one of her needs is being met is such a burden lifted off our shoulders. We truly appreciate Mary’s attention to detail and she always sends us a text a few days ahead of time to make sure everything is all set and remind us of the important items to bring so Wynnie has the best stay possible. When we get to Mary’s house, Wynnie is whining to get out of the car and wagging her tail like crazy. She runs right to Mary when she gets out of the car which is how we know Wynnie loves Mary and Dana! Thank you again Mary and Dana, you both are amazing and we are so lucky to have found such amazing pet sitters 🥰❤️

We are so happy with the care Ginger received at her stay with Mary. We honestly could not have asked for a better experience. I felt completely comfortable and confident leaving Ginger in her care. I love she wanted a meet and greet so we could get all our questions answered. She is very responsive to all questions and just a pleasure to work with.

Wynnie absolutely loves staying with Mary and Dana. As soon as we pull in the driveway, she is jumping to get out of the car. We have absolutely no hesitations leaving Wynnie with Mary for a whole week which is such a weight lifted off our shoulders. Wynnie is spoiled rotten (in the best way possible) during her stay. I truly appreciate Mary’s communication before, during, and even after the stay. She always makes sure to remind me of things to make sure I pack and sends pictures during the week. Thanks a million, Mary! 😁

We know that Zelda is in such wonderfully capable hands when we leave her with Mary! Mary is kind and caring with Zelda. Mary's very thorough in every aspect of learning about Zelda and her unique needs. Given the choice, we wouldn't have Zelda stay with anyone else :)

Your pet will never be left unattended when outside my home. We live in a very pet friendly neighborhood. For this reason, your dog will always be with me on a regular leash or retractable leash.

Home

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Mary B. would like to know about your pet

The dog would need to be house trained. The ability to walk on a leash is a plus but not a deal breaker. The dog would also need to be free from fleas and parasites. A well cared for dog is desired. Because your dog is new to our home a crate for sleeping is required. This ensures the safety of your dog when they are alone in unfamiliar surroundings. Your dog will not be kept in a crate during the day. I will consider a dog over 40lbs up to 55lbs. However, this all depends on the level of training your dog has received. I have no preference in any breed.

A typical day

Lots of walks and interaction with my husband and me. We live near several large schools. There are open spaces and sidewalks surrounding us. We enjoy the outdoors. Where we go would depend on the pet owner's preferences. Asbury Park and Scott Park along with the Peninsula are also options for walking. Lots of love is always a priority. The neighborhood is very pet friendly. However dogs that are shy or weary of strangers will do well too. Many of my neighbors have pets . Some are people dogs and others aren't.
