Flexible, experienced pet lover!
Pet care experience
In addition to two years of experience on Rover and petsitting for neighbors, I was a trained volunteer at the SPCA in Harrisonburg, VA, with over 150 hours of service completed. Those hours included walking dogs, cleaning cat cages, and socializing feral kittens! I occasionally fostered animals for the shelter, and am very experienced at giving pets medication (oral, injection, or topical). I grew up with a family cat and Golden Retriever, and adopted a cat of my own 7 years ago. We adopted a blinded kitten (foster success) a little over a year ago, so I am also very used to special cases. I am very good at earning the trust of shy or wary animals, which is always a big relief for anxious owners. Beyond cats and dogs, I have cared for birds, bunnies, small mammals, reptiles - you name it!
Reviews
I needed someone last minute and Mary was super responsive, very flexible, and was great with our dog George. Will definitely use her again!
Mary was wonderful. We would definitely recommend her to others. She took great care of Triton.
We were so happy we found Mary to watch Gunter! Great communication and attentive to all our guy’s quirks :)
Mary is reliable, punctual and pet focused. We have used Mary’s service for our two dogs and three cats, and will continue to do so.

I have experience using all sorts of home alarm systems, garage codes, electronic locks, and finicky keyed locks. I have a reliable car and I'll be able to transport your animal in case of any emergency or change in plans! 1st time using Rover? Ask me for my referral code before booking to get $20 off!
Information Mary B. would like to know about your pet
Please describe your pet's temperament (shy, high energy, wary of strangers), how well they get along with other animals, and if they have any aggressive tendencies or a bite history. Let me know of any medication or special diet your pet might be on, in addition to any medical conditions or separation anxiety.
A typical day
My biggest focus is for your pet to get as much exercise and attention as they need, which includes walks and runs for pups, and engaging in play and cuddles with every animal!
