Ruby, a highly energetic Boston Terrier was our family per for almost 15 years. She had the run of the house, even had her favorite chair. My husband, son and I spent many hours playing ball with Ruby. It was her favorite hobby. Ruby slept in our bed. It was hard to watch her health slip as she got older. We also had another Boston Terrier, Bandit when we were first married. Out neighbor has 2 Golden Retrievers. They are welcome in our yard and home any time. I have taken care of them on occasion if the family is away for a day or 2. Due to being allergic to cats, prefer not to care for them. I do like cats though. I am a retired retailer. Very responsible and flexible.
