*Fully COVID vaccinated* Hi everyone! I moved out to Portland a couple of years ago for an Americorps member, and am now working for an education non-profit teaching social and emotional skills in elementary schools. I grew up with both dogs and cats, and when I wasn’t playing and running around with them in my backyard, I was responsible for walking/feeding/administering medicine/etc. Throughout college, I pet-sat for local families as well as my friends’ dogs. When COVID cut my final year of school short, I decided to foster a sweet pit bull-lab mix while she recovered from pregnancy and Heartworm disease for ~4 months. I spent most of my time socializing, house-training, and leash-training her, and then keeping her company while she was on bedrest. I was able to find her a wonderful home with another pup before moving out to Portland. I spend about 3-4 hours per day (~10am-2pm) at summer school, but am otherwise home with a very flexible schedule. I live with 2 roommates, and a dog and a cat, and regularly provide animal support for our friend’s and family’s dogs. Our house has a fenced-in yard so we love having doggy play-dates. I am able to provide drop-in’s, walking services, doggy daycare, and boarding services if you are going on a trip.
