I love my animals and have been blessed with a menagerie over the years. I currently have a male Husky mix outside as a guard dog and also because he sheds... a lot... and he has bathroom issues. We rescued him from the pound a day before they were going to euthanize him and it is not a decision I'll ever regret! He is very protective of us but when new people come, we chain him until he learns they are safe and then he is overly lovable! My female cat is inside and she loves to break the rules and walk on the island in my kitchen. She has an attitude with children but she is a softy inside! I've had the pleasure of babysitting, puppy sitting, or as I like to call it, Princess sitting for a friend of mine before they moved away. Bella was well behaved Maltese and potty trained and wouldn't run away when it was potty time with the most precious personality! I was also able to baby sit Bella's "cousin" which was a very well trained Great Dane. I put small dogs on my profile but Paisley was so well trained that she didn't rough house and knock into things and she was beyond sweet and I wouldn't mind other dogs her size if they exhibit the same tendencies. I do prefer female dogs because they don't mark furniture like males, and I do require they be potty trained either to grass or potty pads provided by owners. I do grocery shop and run errands on Thursdays and go to church twice on Sunday so being able to hold it or be potty pad trained will be pretty necessary on those days.
