Poor experience with Marty. I do not recommend. He left our dogs inside and unattended to for over 14 hours. This was our first time having Marty watch our dogs. We booked him for house sitting with our two dogs while we traveled for Thanksgiving. Things got off to a rocky start. The first night Marty fed our pups and let them out at 6:45 PM. He did not return until 9:00 AM the next morning. (Verified by our home security activity logs). Over 14 hours without letting them outside. He did not offer his excuse of being “held up at work” until I called him out on 14 hours being unacceptable. We found places where our dogs went to the bathroom inside out of desperation, something they have not done in years and years. If he had voluntarily notified us that he was “held up at work” from 7 PM to 9 AM the next day we had other options to relieve our poor pups. After me calling him out he did come and let the dogs out and and feed them at the agreed time intervals for the rest of the booking. However he spent less than 10 minutes at our house at each visit (again verified by our home security logs). Marty does the bare minimum. I would not recommend booking Marty. Even though he somewhat rebounded from the first night I cannot give him more than two stars for leaving our dogs for over 14 hours under any circumstance.
