Pet care experience
A life without pets might be tidy... but also BORING! . LGBTQIA SAFE & DIVERSITY FRIENDLY. . Our pets enrich our lives. They deserve RESPECTFUL and proper care. I will give your critters the COMFORT and ATTNTION they need while you are away. . If they're with us long enough, I may even compose a theeme song for 'em. (See Hulky's song in captions. Purple picture.) ;) . .*We must limit doggie sizes to M/L dogs due to space constraints of our home. (Aprox 75lbs and under.) Slightly larger, super chill dogs considered after meet and greet. **I am generally not able to take puppies. Open to considering on a case by case basis.** PLEASE do NOT ask me to take doggies who are not experienced and we'll behaved with cats. . I grew up in a pet loving family. All my life I've cared for cats, dogs, rodents, lizards, birds... You name it. We love them all. . Our home will be a relaxed and embracing and environment for your doggie/s. . I am versed in casual or structured care. . I can handle medications or special diets. . My household is a family of three. I am the person who will be handling and caring for your pet. Here is a brief dossier of who's at home: - I am a stay at home parent and historical garment maker. I'm here at home most days. - Dad is a carpenter and former paramedic/emt. He's a sucker for a cute puppy mug! - My son, in high school, wants to be a veterinarian and video game designer. . - Our doggie, a 60lb rescued Catahoula, will loves having guest doggies as company. . -Our cats will probably hide... But nobodies puurrfect. . Please do contact me with any questions you may have. . We are generally not able to care for puppies or young dogs who still have puppy level energy. I would consider doing so on a case by case basis and would charge accordingly for my increased care time. Thank you for understanding.

Martine was great with our Rodrigo (Yorkie). She sent updates and cute pictures of our pup while we were away. She was also very kind to give him a bath. Rodrigo really enjoyed his stay, he was very happy to have a playmate too. Will definitely book with Martine next time.

Our dog is other dog friendly. . Yours must be other dog and *cat friendly* too. . I recommend a 1/2 hour or longer meet n greet with your doggie at my home (no charge) before we commit to first time stays. . I advise a 3 hour play date without the pet parent for a first time stay of over 24 hours. (I do not charge for this play date.) . If your dog has separation anxiety, I will request a 24 hour stay before a longer stay to ensure all are a good fit. . Dogs should be up to date on shots and vet care, with seasonally appropriate preventative flea and tick treatment. . I will welcome any other critter friendly and mannagable dog. . *Be sure to let us know about any of your critters quirks or your preferences regarding care. . *Please make sure your pet is flea free and has been given seasonally appropriate flea and tick meds. . *Please be aware that if you plan to board your pet overnight, you may need to *also book doggie daycare* if their visit is beyond 24 hours. . *Do bring your dogs usual food with you along w written instructions. (Our dog is allergic to chicken so please let me know if your food or treats contain chicken.) . At your meet and greet I will give you a copy of our doggie guest requirements. This will include our expectations regarding repayment for any emergencies not covered by Rover and damages. It will also provide you with a template in which to inform me of your doggies special preferences. . Please book more than 24 hours in advance.
A typical day
We live in a nice subruban section for shorter walks, and have a lovely park near by (Naylor's Run) for a daily longer walk. . We have lovely shaded fenced in back yard. . Our usually lazy doggie likes to play w occasionally bouncy doggies. We have a central room indoors we keep mostly clear just for indoor doggie play time. . We are properly climate controlled.
