Pet care experience
Hello! I enjoy dogs, cats, and pets of all kinds and sizes and would be happy to care for yours! In the past, I served many pets on Rover (house sitting/boarding/walking) for about 5 years in Seattle before relocating to Chattanooga. I currently have two sweet Himalayan cats. My family's pet history growing up: Golden retriever, black lab, collie, chihuahua, doberman, miniature pincher. Along with many cats, birds, rodents, and reptiles. My mom's a hobbyist dog trainer with obedience, agility, and tricks. I'm aware of some training techniques but don't have much skills myself. When I was in high school, way back, I volunteered for Therapy Dog with my mom and our dog, visiting hospitals and nursing homes to provide pet therapy to patients.
Reviews
Martin is a great dog sitter. He filled in last minute to watch our Husky. He offered to run with Lucy, which I appreciated as Lucy is an active dog. He sent updates frequently while I was away. I would recommend Martin highly for dog sitting!
We needed a last minute sitter the night before a trip and Marty was very quick to respond, looking over our pets needs and even doing a short-notice, late night meet and greet. Our pup enjoyed her time with Marty and he sent us lots of pictures. I would recommend Marty to everyone!
No need to look any further. Martin is the absolute best. Everybody and everything was very well taken care of plus he's just a really good guy.
Marty was fabulous - he was awesome with our golden retriever and two cats. Lots of play time with our dog. House was immaculate too! I highly recommend him and will use him again!

Information Martin S. would like to know about your pet
Before booking a service, I prefer to do a Meet and Greet with you and your pet(s) to make sure we're all a good fit and your pet(s) is/are comfortable with me. If any of the following info is not available on your pet's Rover profile, please provide it in a message when contacting me. It helps me review and accept your pet's booking faster: 1. What's your pet's care schedule like in terms of food, walks, exercise, potty breaks, sleep? 2. What's your pet's general behavior and temperament like? 3. Is it okay to leave your pet alone for 4 hours or less? Any separation anxiety? Any barking inside when alone? 4. Any destructive tendencies? Any chewing of household items, cords, etc? Any seeking out trash/food in cupboards? 5. Does your pet have any special needs? Medical issues? 6. Are you able to schedule a meet and greet before your pet's booking? What's your schedule like? 7. If known, what are the approximate times of day for the booking request? Did I miss anything? If you have any questions or concerns before booking, just message me. I look forward to hearing from you!
A typical day
I'm very active outdoors. If your dog has a lot of energy or needs a workout, I'm happy to go for runs, hikes, or a nearby dog park depending on your dog's needs and the weather!

Availability
I'm currently a stay-at-home dad and pursuing a master's in education to be a teacher. I'm primarily looking for pet clients nearby in the Northshore area that wouldn't mind walking or drop-in visits with my 10-month-old daughter during the day (approx 8 am - 6 pm). I may be available evenings and weekends.
