Pet care experience
Lili (my partner) and I are highly empathic, caring people who will ensure your loved one has a wonderful time. They will certainly miss you, BUT we will do our best to distract them and ensure they are happy. I grew up with a high-energy border collie, a cat, and a bird! I learned to respect pets - read them, and understand what they like and don't like. Lili is a genuine pet lover who grew up with everything from dogs to sheep to chickens, and she loves them all. We have two friendly cats who have seen numerous fosters stop by and go to their forever homes. We also volunteer for the Humane Rescue Alliance. We only keep one dog client at a time in our home, so your dog would be the only one visiting (unless you have more than one dog). For cats we do have spare rooms on the second floor, so we occasionally have an overlap (but no contact between the visiting pets).

Martin was a holiday life saver and took great care of my dog. The pup got tons of walks and had company all day, and I almost felt bad that I had to pick him up. Martin was great about sending updates and pictures. All and all it was a wonderful Rover experience and we'll hopefully be booking with them again.

Martin and Lili took wonderful care of Lacy for daycare! It was a good sign when they wanted to do a meet and greet and our pup Lacy warmed to them immediately. They were super easy to schedule and communicate with and were attentive to her long list of quirks. We got adorable pictures and a happy, tired dog upon pick-up - highly recommend!
Our Samoyed puppy loves doggy day care with Martin and Lili’s! They are communicative, fun, and have been lifesavers when I’ve needed last minute puppy care. Highly recommend!

Cats: We will initially set them up in their private room! A kitty-safe space with everything they need. Cardboard boxes, check. A large window and birds, check. Cat tree, check. If it is your desire, once we see your kitty has adjusted (eaten and used the litter box), we will introduce them to the rest of the house. We will ensure your pet will always be comfortable. Dogs: We have a yard and a spacious basement, and we will get a lot of walking fun + playtime. We live close to the NOMA dog park. We tune in to what your pet needs!

A typical day
I will take your beloved dog for a long walk around the neighborhood, admiring Brookland's trees, squirrels, and flowers. We'll also check out the dog park to see what's happening in dog society. If we are boarding your dog, they will be the only dog at the house. For cats, we'll give them their space and let them lead. A typical day will include playtime, birdwatching, cuddles, and snuggles!
