When your dog is with us (s)he will be watched and loved by our whole family: myself; my wife, a stay at home mom; and our first grade son. Because my wife is at home during the day your dog will never be alone, she will be able to give love and care all day. Our son is a bit dog obsessed but also very patient and understanding of their varying temperaments and needs. He has been raised around dogs, and is excellent at sensing animals boundaries and needs. He knew how to hold his hand out to allow a dog to smell him before he learned how to say "dog." My wife and I were both raised with dogs, my family typically had two at a time. Growing up I helped to raise our dogs from puppies to seniors; subsequently, I am very comfortable with all ages and the different care that is needed for every stage of a dogs life. We all love dogs (and cats), all sizes and breeds, we love their many different quirks and personalities and how they reciprocate love in their own special way. We are very lucky to have a fenced in backyard that provides a safe, protected space for your dog to run and play. Our dog, truly one of the friendliest (and passive) dogs I've ever known, loves to play with other dogs in the yard for as long as possible. We decided to join Rover because we wanted more dog energy and love in our lives, and I hope we will get to enjoy time with yours.
