CVT Companion for your Furry Family
Pet care experience
“In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.” — Terry Pratchett Though I'm new to Rover, I am not new to animals. I have had a life-long passion for all creatures great and small. I am a Certified Veterinary Technician from COCC, meaning I (generally) know which end of the needle is the sharp one. I am well versed in administering medicine to uncooperative furry patients. Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have befriended animals ranging from teacup-sized dogs, to Volkswagen-sized cows, horses, and pigs. Most importantly, I’d like to believe that I’m pretty good with animals. I like them very much, and they seem to like me back. I’ve lived here in Bend for seven years, and have a family and pets of my own. These include aquarium fish and bees (though my wife insists those ladies stay outside). I love the botanical world too, so your garden and houseplants will be in safe hands.
Reviews
Martin was great with Bodhi. Solid walk. On time. This was short notice and Martin was able to come and work with Bodhi immediately and with no advance visit. Would certainly hire Martin again
Martin is our go to walker. Dependable and friendly
Martin was fantastic with our dog...who has both medical issues & a unique personality... during a 1.5week family vacation. He provided timely & thorough updates which made us very comfortable that the detail-oriented care our dog needed was being provided.
Wonderful!!!

Whether you're looking for a canine companion for long energetic walks, or to hold your cat's murder-mittens during thunder storms, I would love to help. If your furry friend has some special needs (medications, injections, etc.) then that's fine! Your pets and your home will be safe and well cared for.
Information Martin J. would like to know about your pet
The more information, the better! It would be helpful to learn about... - His/her socialization, with other dogs, children, adults, and other animals. - Personality and behavior. Lover of everyone? Shy? Fearful? Food aggressive? Escape artist? Are there specific preferences or catalysts, such as a proclivity for women, or a fear of bearded men? Any quirks or triggers are helpful to know about. - Medical issues, both current and past history. Allergies, medications, vaccinations, chronic conditions, recent travel history or potential exposure to a communicable disease (i.e., recently boarded.) - Emergency and non-critical instructions. Preferred veterinary clinic, preferred emergency clinic, authorization for treatment and resuscitation, etc.
A typical day
The world is your mollusk. After talking to you, and learning what your pet enjoys or needs, I can cater our time together to meet those desires. We can take long walks, toss a droolly tennis ball in the yard, make a trip to the dog-park, or watch David Attenborough on TV.
Services
Martin can watch in your home
Availability
I have the independence and flexibility to offer availability throughout the week. Any scheduling conflicts (kids' chauffeuring, etc.) will generally occur in the afternoon and be brief.
