My days are happier when there are dogs around. My family has always had dogs and treated them as part of the pack. Currently, I have a very friendly 8 year old boy called Paulo. He is a rescue Husky from Battersea Dogs home. His days revolve around walks in our local parks (Clapham, Brockwell, Battersea, Tooting Bec, Streatham...), car rides and coffee breaks at local cafes. Otherwise, he is chilling at home on the sofa or chewing on a few Kong toys. I don't leave him on his own and take him everywhere I go. Which is what you'll expect for your hound if he/she stays with us. I will only take on one dog per booking, as that way I can spend proper time with them. I feel dog sitting on weekends for you will allow you to perhaps go run a few errands, see a film, take a weekend break or just go to a favourite restaurant that stupidly does not allow dogs in. I live in a gated dog friendly mews and have a small secure high fenced back yard, but to be honest, it's the parks that we'll be spending the most time in.
