Home to 2 working cockers and a 14 year old cat
Pet care experience
Hi i am the keeper of 2 working cockers and am able to offer weekend boarding. I have a fenced garden, access to fields behind my house, and am near the beach and other water if the dogs like a splash. I have an outside dog bath with hot and cold water. I am a foster for SARR and have fostered and adopted my youngest spaniel Ziggy, after working through his issues with SARRs behaviourist, he is now a wonderful young boy after being a nervous bitey wreck. Finley my older dog is great with all dogs and has been Ziggys best mentor. I have worked hard to enable these dogs to be walked and looked after by anyone, its been hard work and worth it. Finley is requested at his day care as he is very good with puppies and nervous dogs, he seems to re assure them and look out for them.
Reviews
Martin was an excellent choice to look after our dog. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to ensure she was made to feel at home. Furthermore, he kept us updated several times a day with photos and information of how she was doing. I don’t hesitate at all to recommend Martin to look after your dog, and we will be asking for his assistance again in the future.
Martin is a really good guy. Made my dog feel welcome and comfortable during his stay. Took him for good long walks. He was knackered when he got home. Couldn't ask for better.
Our Tyson was staying with Martin last week for the first time. We were very happy with with the care that was provided for our precious boy and impressed Martin's ways with dogs. His dogs are very gentle, friendly. Our 16 weeks old cocker spaniel puppy was very looked after, and very happy, and Martin was sending us pictures and videos from the day. We are booking Martin again. We know that Tyson is going to be happy and busy and all his needs are going to be met.
Skye and Shadow really enjoyed there stay. Definitely recommend Martin and will use again

I have a fenced garden which is behind a 5 bar gate. We have cctv to the front and rear of the house. I am close to safe fields and the sea front where most people locally walk their dogs. The house is in a cul de sac so not much passing traffic if dogs are reactive. Dogs can be crated at the owners wish or can sleep downstairs as I have stair gates , in addition we have stair gate to separate the kitchen so dogs can have time out.

Information Martin B. would like to know about your pet
Any behavioural issues or triggers for the dog, any special commands or needs and how the owner would like the dog to be , eg not on sofa or beds or allowed on both .
A typical day
We are close to some huge fields, where various wild animals roam including deer, badgers, rabbits and hares so plenty of smells to sniff out. We are also near the sea or a river for those that like water. I tend to walk in areas where my two working cockers enjoy so fields, woodland, brush etc. We will walk in the morning for at least 1 hour and the same in the afternoon, depending on the boarding dogs age and ability, so this can vary at the owners request. We often walk with a variety of other dogs so there's likely to be lots of interaction with other dogs and people.
