Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Jess. I have been working with animals of all shapes and sizes my whole life. Including many dogs and cats I've called family members as well! I have an older diabetic cat that I care for and love dearly. With me you'll find me thorough, consistent, dedicated, and someone who is truly invested in giving you the best. My experience includes shelter volunteer work, wildlife rehabilitation, fostering, working with both animals and people with special needs, animal boarding, walking, training, and of course pet sitting. The wellbeing of our furry family members is something I'm most passionate about. My caregiving is offered to enhance your pet's quality of life in any way I can! The size, appearance, age, specific needs and temperaments of these animals are very rarely a limitation in question for me.

Martika did a great job taking care of our cat, Sparkles, while we were away for two weekends. She sent lots of updates and pictures throughout the stay and it was a great relief on our trip to know Sparkles was in good hands!
Martika has been a dog sitter and walker for us for the past year now. She is fantastic with both of our dogs, one of whom is quite finicky. She has been regularly available when we have needed her and is respectful of both our time and our home. She gives awesome little report cards after her service so you get an idea of what your dog’s day is like and you can tell she loves animals so much. I absolutely adore her and have recommended her to multiple friends. Thank you Martika for all you have done for us!
Martika is my roommate, she is very reliable and friendly. She is very considerate of others and dependable in stressful situations, and always makes the best of opportunities! She is one of my closest friends and an animal lover at heart.

I will always follow the owner's instructions of care and how to leave the residence. If not stated, I am communicative about anything that seems unclear (ie. Leaving pets out of crates, house locked up, feeding meals). Should there be a pet mess, I clean it up to the best of my ability and notify the owner. All leashes, treats, and scoopers will be returned to their original spots! Unfortunately I do not offer boarding at this time, but am more than happy to do sittings at your residence!

I would like to know if there are any health/ sensory concerns or history of abuse. I want the animal to be as comfortable and happy as possible! I have experience administering medications, ointments, bandaging and senior/ special need care if necessary. I do not have any breed or size preference.
A typical day
If the dog is high energy, we can play tug of war, fetch, etc. during our walks. I tend to prefer scenic routes to avoid being too close to traffic and people in the city so the dog is in no related dangers. Some dogs might enjoy bird watching by watersides too!

I am an independent contractor/ freelancer of all sorts. I pick up as many open pet care jobs as I can! I see the true value in having one on one time with animals over sending them off to daycares.
