Pet care experience
I love all animals. I’ve primarily had rescue cats & dogs and wish I could save them all. I’ve bottle fed abandoned kittens and rescued pregnant cats. I have experience with an abandoned, abused and anxious dog who needed patience and compassion on a daily basis. I live about 15 minutes outside of Yelm in a gated community called Clearwood.

Martie was so wonderful with our 10 month old golden retriever, Bowser! He was so comfortable at her house. She sent a bunch of pictures and I could not have more at peace with our decision to have Bowser stay with her while we were away. They were the perfect fit and I will definitely be using Martie’s services again!
Thank you again Martie!! I can always relax on my trips because I know Peanut is in good hands and having a blast. I love the updates of her doing food puzzles, walks, and running around the yard.

I will only care for one dog in my home at a time (unless they are a bonded pair). I have a very large fenced yard that is perfect for playing fetch, running around & doing their business. I have a dog door so they can go in and out as needed. My community has lots of trails and lakes to walk around. For cats, I have a separate room if they don’t like other cats (I have three cats). I also have a catio, so they can enjoy some fresh air & bird watching. I would like a quick meet and greet prior to watching your pet. This just ensures we are a good match. My Rover reputation is based on you & your pets happiness!

I need to know how your pet interacts with cats and young children. I babysit my granddaughter so I would need to know if your pet doesn’t interact with toddlers. I need to know that the pet is potty trained & if not what is expected. If you kennel your pet I will need your kennel. I’ll want to know about their diet restrictions, medications and if they are allowed treats.
A typical day
I have a very large yard to play fetch and to run out excess energy. There are several trails in the community to take walks. If your dog likes car rides we can go for a drive. I love taking photos, so you will get a lot of cute photos of your pet!

I’m retired from the Air Force and I’m looking for a meaningful way to fill my days. I’m available most of the time, although I do love traveling when I can. I also take care of my toddler granddaughter occasionally. If your pet does not do well around toddlers, my schedule is very flexible and chances are good I can watch your pet without any interaction with my granddaughter.
