Pet care experience
Hey there I'm Martaluz and I live in the Dunwoody area. Since the age of 10 my family has always shared our home with dogs, cats, birds and rabbits. I've had the pleasure of caring for a families most prized possessions; their pets & homes. One of the greatest gifts has been experiencing the personalities of those I’ve cared for: big dogs (Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Old English Bulldogs, American Stanford Terrier, Golden Retriever and Huskies); small doggies (Chihuahuas, French Bull Dogs, Yorkshire Terrier, Miniature poodle, Maltese/poodle, Havanese) and mixed breed cats.

Martha was responsive, flexible, and communicative throughout the process with us.....super easy to work with. She expertly dealt with our three very different fur friends - giving each the care and attention they needed and wanted in exactly the right way. We would highly recommend Martha to anyone seeking the services of a mature and experienced animal lover!
Martha always takes great care of our 2 dogs and cat while we are gone. One of our dogs Prancer has some severe anxiety issues and can be a lot to handle sometimes but Martha has always been patient with her and treated her well.
Martha went above and beyond, working with my new dog (still a puppy), doing some training with him, giving him itches and scratches, basically loving on him. Would use her again in a heartbeat!
Huge thank you to Martha for bettering our Rover experience! We were skeptical at first due to previous sitters and how they made Blu feel, but Martha was a breath of fresh air!! Super warm and welcoming, kept us up to date each day, and took our fur baby in as her own! We look forward to booking our new favorite sitter again❤️

Heads up… I do work full time (8 hour days) in an office during the week. If you are requesting for house sitting or boarding services during the week please be advised that your pet will be alone for some time during the day. My ability to care for your pets during this time truly depends on your dog and your level of comfortability with them being alone. I have left various house trained pups outside of their crate in my home with no issues at all. I have a camera where I can monitor them and check in often. This is on a case by case basis and would be happy to chat further about your particular situation.

The most important information I'd need to know is if the pup is on medication or has any special needs. If the pup has behavior issues and can't be socialized or has to be watched while being socialized. Does your pup love to cuddle? I also would like to know if your pup likes to "mark" places, this way I watch closely and make sure they go outside to do it. Knowing your pets schedule is also extremely important. I’d like to keep your pet on their usual schedule as much as possible so that their transition back to you is a smooth as possible. Things like potty time, feeding time, medication time, etc. is important. I’d like to anything that would make their stay with me as easy and comfortable as possible.
A typical day
As for fun activities, on the weekend I love to go hiking and would happily curate the hikes difficulty level to your pets physical ability. These adventures usually come with amazing photos that I capture of your pets and will share them with you free of charge. If hiking is too difficult I have a dog park in my complex and at least 2-3 dog parks near me where we could enjoy a walk outdoors. Keeping them active and happy is my priority. Availability
I don’t have any pets of my own which allows me to give extra attention to your pets. I'm attentive to the individual needs of all the fur babies that I care for and I pride myself on keeping them on their personal schedules (potty time, feeding time, etc.). My goal is to always facilitate a smooth transition when the pets are reunited with their families so life can continue as normal. On the weekend I love to go hiking and would happily curate the hikes difficulty level to your pets physical ability. These adventures usually come with amazing photos that I capture of your pets and will share them with you free of charge. If hiking is too difficult I have a dog park in my complex and at least 2-3 dog parks near me where we could enjoy a walk outdoors. I have prior experience with elderly dogs, dogs with special needs and the process of administering medication in a timely fashion.
