After working in the mental health field for over 30 years, I decided to retire early. I was looking for something else I could do in my life that would bring me joy, encourage me to keep exercising and allow me to give back to the community as well. All my friends encouraged me to start caring for dogs, as I had taken care of their dogs and they knew how much I loved taking care of my own two female Airedales! Since becoming a sitter, I’ve loved every minute of it! It really is a dream come true for me. I have lots of experience with dogs, both my own and others’. I have owned dogs throughout my life and have taken my dogs to dog obedience classes. I also currently have 2 cats and have had cats most of my life. I have done pet sitting in the past and love to play and spend time with the pets I care for. I am also comfortable with giving pets needed medications, so your pup will be taken care of no matter what their condition is. I do typically like to set up a meet and greet when taking on a new client. It’s a great way for us to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, plus it’s a great chance to talk face-to-face about some of the most important details of your pup. I don’t have any particular policies around the meet, but I do like to meet on neutral ground so your pup doesn’t feel like they need to defend their turf. Excellent customer service is essential to taking care of our canine companions. I always approach customers with respect and respond promptly to requests; communication is of utmost importance to me. I’m happy to answer any and all questions, but also love to send out regular updates of my own with accompanying pictures so you can see just how much fun your pup and I are having together!
