Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. Friends, family, and neighbours have also relied on me to care for their dogs. I have watched dogs with special needs, and that require medication. I once took care of a senior lab that was nearing the end of his life. During his stay with me, he stopped being able to climb the few front steps to our house and my husband built him a ramp to make it easier for him to get up and down. This is the type of dedication we have to dogs - we always want to make sure they are well cared for.

Marta and her family were the absolute best sitters for our older Golden Retriever Rudy. Marta sent us photos and updates daily so we could see that Rudy was happy and very comfortable in their home. This is a very caring sitter and their home is a welcoming place. Highly recommend this sitter! Thank you Marta and family for the loving care given to our Rudy, and for the excellent updates while we were away. You are “THE BEST”?
Marta was so kind and sweet with the dog. Mack was super gentle and a wonderful friend to Winnie while she stayed with them. Thank you Marta, Mack and family!!

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced-in backyard with a gate, and all unsafe materials out of reach so your dog can't get into them. Our dog, Mack, will keep your pet company, and I find he really becomes best buddies with the dogs that stay here!

Information Marta G. would like to know about your pet
My number one piece of information that I need to know is whether your dog is neutered. Mack was neutered a bit later than most dogs, and has developed fear of not neutered dogs. This fear manifests itself in proactive aggression, so if your dog is not neutered, the chances of mine getting along with yours is slim, unfortunately. Then, I'd just need to know a bit about your dog's routine, their likes and dislikes, any allergies or health concerns... basically the more information, the better.
A typical day
I love long walks, and I vary them up so they aren't always the same old, predictable walk. If it's alright with you, I sometimes drive to the dog park here. I only allow your dog and mine to play in the "run" - the smaller part of the dog park - away from other dogs. I do this for their safety, and I find they play better one on one. We also play in the backyard, and I have TONS of dog toys, so boredom is really not a feeling that is felt here.

My job is quite flexible, and allows me to work from home often. My husband also works from home, so between the two of us, your pup rarely, if ever, will be left alone. With our dog Mack, we take him on long walks, to the dog park, play in the backyard, so your dog will join in on all the fun things we do.
