Did everything that was asked of and made sure our dog was taken outside, fed, and made comfortable when he was gone. Would rebook again!
Very Unsatisfied, the dog sitter came early Friday morning, and by Sunday morning he wrote saying that my dog was very aggressive towards him and lunged at him at one point. He felt uncomfortable but had the situation under control but would like to receive more money via Cash App. I wasn't sure what more money would do to help him with my dog, so I told my wife what was happening, and she reached out to her friend who was still in town, and asked her to take over watching our pet. The pet sitter stated that it wasn't necessary and that my dog was back to normal and only lunged at him when he was playing outside with his ball. I was confused about the situation since he made it seem like my dog was attacking him and it turned out that he was playing with his ball. My wife and I felt like he wanted more money through another app. So we had him leave early and still paid him for the full-time and had someone else come and watch our dog for one night till we got back the next day. This is what made me and my wife not want to use the Rover service app anymore. The dog sitter said that my dog pooped in the house, which is extremely weird for my dog to do that. I came to find out that he fed my dog a 25 oz. bag of dog thick-cut strip bacon treats. Which caused an upset stomach and led to him pooping more than usual. I believe all dog sitters should know that if you overfeed a dog it can cause an upset stomach. The dog sitter said he cleaned up the poop. I came home to a bag of dog poop sitting next to our garbage can inside, which made the house stick and he also had our trash can overflowing with his trash, I had to pick up food and whatever else off my floor and clean up the area. We came home to dry pee around the kitchen and in the living room. We told the dog sitter that he sometimes pees in those areas, so make sure to watch out for that, and showed him how to clean it up and had all the cleaning materials ready to go. In the room that we set up for him to stay in, I found that the side of my ottoman was broken and for some reason, the Alexa in the room was unplugged. I also believe he dropped my Oculus VR headset because I had to snap the faceplate back onto the device. He asked us if his friend could come by to check on him because he just had some dental work done, and we said it would be fine. After looking over our ring doorbell history, his friend was there for most of the time he was supposed to be watching our dog. Seemed more like a hang-out than a check-up to make sure our dog sitter was doing fine. This is the second time we used Rover and both times the dog sitters broke at least one thing in our house and we came home to our house with trash and dog piss on the floor. We are done with Rover after these experiences. We know our dog is very energetic. The only thing we wanted the dog sitter to do was to make sure he had food and water and to play outside with him for 30 minute. to an hour maybe 3 times a day, that usually tires him out and he goes to sleep, even if you have to play with him a little long that's fine because that's what we are paying for.
Marshall always made sure my pets (I have a dog and cats) were fed on time, groomed, and walked. He also was prompt about giving updates when I asked for them.
As a pet owner who is very attached to my fur-babies, I heavily recommend Marshall as a pet sitter. I haven’t found any sitter that I trust more than him nor one that has such vast experiences with pets. I’ve had him watch my dog, cat, and reptiles and he cared for them all with such loving attention. My pup rose especially can’t wait to see every time he watches her.
