I have been cat/dog/house sitting for friends and colleagues in the Bay Area for five years now. I was in the film business for 30+ years as a cinematographer based out of San Francisco and now basically retired so this is my new "career"! And I truly love it! I have lived in San Francisco, Mill Valley and Berkeley so I know the area intimately and have traveled extensively throughout the larger Northern California area (and beyond) for work and pleasure. I traveled a lot for my work, both domestically and internationally, and it was a great relief for me to know that I had a house sitter who loved and cared about my cats when I was away. I am an avid hiker and still photographer so I'm the perfect companion for your dog. We will have so much fun together. When I was in Santa Fe dog sitting last summer, Luna and I hiked from 4 to 5 miles per day. And what a great time I am having! I fall in love with all my dogs and cats and end up doing repeat gigs with almost all of my clients. I can offer references and would come to meet you and your pet(s) so that we can all get acquainted and feel comfortable with everything. I prefer longer stays, at least a week up to several weeks or months. I am very good with shy cats and dogs and feel a loving, empathic bond with our animal friends. I am a thoughtful house sitter and leave your place just like I found it. I love taking photos of your pets and sharing them with you when you are traveling.
